Terms of Service
Version 1.3 · Effective July 16, 2026 · This instance is operated for Contreras Builds LLC
1. What this is
Rough-In ("the Software") is a workforce management application created and owned by Ethan Cervantes ("the Owner"). The company using this instance of the Software ("the Company") is granted permission to use it under these terms.
2. License to use
The Owner grants the Company a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use this instance of the Software for its internal business operations. The Software itself — its code, design, and all improvements to it — remains the sole property of the Owner. Use of the Software does not transfer any ownership interest in it to the Company or its users.
3. Your data is yours
All business records the Company's users enter into the Software (receipts, expenses, timecards, schedules, invoices, and similar) belong to the Company. The Company may request a complete export of its data at any time, and the Owner will provide it in standard formats (such as CSV files and image files) within a reasonable period, at no charge.
4. Ending the arrangement
Either the Owner or the Company may end this arrangement with 30 days written notice (email counts). The Company may also choose to end it immediately, without the notice period, using the app's "Export & end service" function — the Company receives its complete data export and the license ends at 11:59 PM Denver time that day. If the arrangement ends — by either side, either way — the Owner will provide the Company a complete export of its data as described in Section 3. Neither side may hold the other's property: the Company keeps its data; the Owner keeps the Software.
5. Service, as-is
The Software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. The Owner makes reasonable efforts to keep it running and to preserve data, but does not guarantee uninterrupted service or freedom from defects, and is not liable for business losses arising from use of the Software. The Company remains responsible for its own regulatory and record-keeping obligations.
6. Accounts and acceptable use
Users receive accounts for the Company's business purposes. Users may not attempt to copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or extract the Software itself, interfere with its operation, or access data belonging to others. The Owner may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
7. Changes to these terms
The current terms are always available from the sign-in page. By signing in and using the Software, users agree to the version of the terms in effect at that time. The Owner may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes agreement to the updated terms.
